Join us for the official festival kickoff! We begin with a celebration of all things local, stories and tellers hailing from Gros Morne and the best parts of the West Coast. Many of whom are returning by popular demand. Make it a complete evening and enjoy some pub grub before the show. The Anchor Pub will be open for dining and bar service.

Singer-songwriters will take you behind the music sharing the inspirations, stories, and moments in time that shaped their songs. Expect an engaging mix of storytelling and live performance that makes for an unforgettable night. As Forrest Gump famously said, “Life is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re going to get.” The same goes for Friday night’s stories: some funny, some serious, some true, and some… not so true. Whatever the tale, we’ll have fun. After all, variety is the spice of life! (Bar service will be available)

Saturday October 4th at 7:00 PM
“Stories from the Rock”
Gros Morne Visitor Center

Our grand finale to this year’s festival will take place at the new Gros Morne Visitor Center (corner of East Link & Viking Trail -Highway 430), in Rocky Harbour. We will have several of your favourite Storytellers telling stories of their choice! As we embrace the early nightfall of autumn, some stories will be a little spooky, others, not so much. Come and check out the new Gros Morne Visitor Centre and help us close the third annual storytelling festival with great stories, good company and a big round of applause! (Light refreshments will be available)
